VINEYARDS AND VINIFICATION
Grapes from various quality vineyards from Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, São Vicente and Estreito da Calheta were used.
Grapes were pressed in a pneumatic press. Arresting of fermentation takes place at the desired degree of sweetness by adding vinic alcohol. (96%)
MATURATION & BOTTLING
This medium sweet wine is the result of a blend made from a careful selection of several wines produced from the Boal Grape. All the wines have been aged over 10 years by the traditional and natural "Canteiro" method in old 620 litre French oak casks stored in different warehouses located around Funchal.

SERVING & CELLARAGE
This wine was naturally aged in cask and bottled without the use of caramel. To show it at its best serve between larder (12ºC) and low room temperature (19ºC)..
TASTING NOTES AND HARMONIES
This wine was filtered and does not require decanting. It is excellent as a digestive but is also exceedingly good with starters such as pates, cream blue cheese, mature cheddar, crème caramel or fruit cake. It was bottled ready for drinking and will keep well once opened.
