Produced by the historic Washington State winery, Badger Mountain Vineyard, Celilo Falls Wines benefit from an ideal location and climate, deep volcanic soil, and industry leading organic production from vine to bottle. With a nice diurnal shift in temperature (warm daytime highs and cool temps at night), prevailing winds, and an average of 6-8 inches of rain a year, these wines have a nice balance of acidy, great structure, and rich fruit characteristics.

Badger Mountain Vineyard was founded by the late visionary and life-long farmer Bill Powers in 1982. Just six years later, well-before the word organic became trendy and then universal, Bill transitioned his 80-acre estate to organic viticulture and in 1990 Badger Mountain Vineyard became the first Certified Organic winegrape vineyard in Washington State. Our commitment to organic viticulture and wine production begins with our responsibility to the environment, and extends to producing a completely natural product for our customers. We use only organically approved and naturally occurring substances for all vineyard applications ~ this means no chemical insecticides, herbicides, fungicides or synthetic fertilizers. Like farmers for centuries before us, we rely on our experience and the advantageous use of our location, climate, volcanic soil, and organic techniques.

Columbia Valley Riesling 2016 This wine boasts a layered fragrance of pineapple, lemon, tropical fruits, along with a slight touch of mineral on the nose. These enticing aromas lead into a wine that is balanced with zesty acidity and a nice explosion of bright fruit flavors on the palate. Tastes of lemon zest, bright tropical fruits, white peach with nectarine hightones, and a hint of orange peel linger on the palate and work themselves into a nice, slightly savory finish.
